My advice: Drill bits work so much better after they are sharpened.

I was going to post something useful, but everything has already been said.
Be patient, be safe, use respirators or a dustmask, and if you have an idea: give it a try.

I know most things have been said but for the new restorer...
.... double sided tape to hold sand paper and add cushion beneath your finger.
..... double sided tape can be placed around a dremel sandpaper drum and then you can add what ever grit sand paper you need... it works pretty good, but not perfectly....
..... always wear safety glasses of some kind
..... if you choose to use dremel for stubborn stains or pitting that you are loosing patience with... always have the rotation away from the edge.. in other words. so that it is not as likely to catch the edge and cause an accident....
..... a 1 inch felt wheel fits in the concave of most blades
..... if you want a perfect result first time... you are probably better off with hand sanding... it's so easy to make a mistake that can't be fixed easily at all when using dremel products..
..... you'll spend most of your time with 80 to 220 grit... 80 or 90%??
..... turtle wax rubbing compound in the green bottle... works well for polishing and buffing and gives a great shine on the blade! It will last nearly a lifetime!
