Default Two for less than 50 bucks.

I found these rusty blades in an antique shop yesterday.

The Robuso has promise. This pix is
prior to doing anything with it. After taking the pix
I have given it a run over a 15micron film and the
rust/pitting does not appear to bother the edge.

    Robuso Solgen Germany
    89 Clover Four

The second blade is the one I have no clue about and
am curious if anyone knows more. The manufacturer looks
like "??? Croft & Sons" but does not give
    a country of manufacturer.

Does anyone know more about "Croft & Sons"?

Both seem to be in tolerable shape and should
sharpen up just fine.. Little or no spine
wear and the rust and pitting should succumb to
wet dry paper and a brass brushing followed by
light polishing. Both have what appear to be original scales.
The Croft's scales are a bit worse for the wear
but are well aligned and very functional.

Well the second one clearly has "SHEFFIELD" marked across the center (split by the logo) so that says it's quality English steel. That's about all the info I can offer, though.

That is what I was missing. -- split by the logo --

    Thank you.

    EDIT:
Seems like I cannot read stamps on steel very well.
Searching for Sheffield I found "Trademarks on Base-Metal Tableware" and
It now looks like the mark belongs to:

    William Hawcroft & Sons

    See page 115.

    Does anyone have more info....
My find does not have the notch (or shine) that this one has
