That looks great, I like the layered look of the wedge. The blade and scales look great.
Does the wedge have any wedge to it? Not to worry, I have made several razors without any taper and they are still working. Over time I have gravitated toward and found that a tapered wedge tends to work a little better.
I really like the shape and overall fit and finish of your work it is very nice.

Thanked: 11It is wedged, but the outside is black so it may just look flat in the picture. I figure it will start to rotate if it's just flat and not glued in. I really like the toughness of Micarta. I may make the next one thinner. Also, the grain is a bit exagerated, in real life it doesn't pop out so much.
Thanks

Very well done. Thanks for sharing. I have a Dovo in white micarta and the scales on it are thicker than any other razor I have seen. Looking forward to seeing your future work.

Looks like you've set yourself a standard there! Great first restore, & you've not picked the easiest material. I do like a layered wedge.
