    Only the pivot side needs peening, the wedge side is already finished for you.

    I've used a bunch of the Dovo and TI scales and they always go on well with little work. You can get the job done with a spoon, but I've opted for the 'deluxe setup' and have a $2 ball-peen and $3 mini anvil to finish up on the peening.

    I have used a spoon, today as a matter of fact...it works. I doubt you could bend a pin very easy unless you got carried away & yes, I got the idea from one of Glen's posts. Had to check if it worked before I recommended it again...

    you lost me. I am suggesting our poor lad glue the break and tape over the scale and return to academic concerns

    oh, ok...I thought you were talking about the Dovo scales needing the wedge side pinned as well as the pivot....whoops.
