So I wake up a little late but I'm determined to get another use out of my freshly restored Boker Red Injun 102 that I picked up at a Pawn Shop BY CHANCE for $7.50! I was feeling a little weird today, not sick, if you know what I mean. I remember clearly thinking, "Do I have to use Bokers exclusively or just own at least one to join the Boker Brotherhood?". Then it happened! I dropped it into the sink! I remembered NOT to try to catch it. The result, a "small" chip at the point. This is my current favorite shaver. Hopefully it can be salvaged....again!

That sucks, sorry to hear about that. Is it possible to cut the razor down and rescale it?

Hope you can get it sorted out, and that you find a mint Dubl Duck Grim Reaper for $50 on the 'Bay to make up for it..!

It can be done, I had one of those sickening moments:

I was sooo looking forward to shaving with this one:

It's still a good shaver, just shorter. Will probably sell it one of these days, would work good for someone with a goatee. All are bokers:

Man, I LOVE those Bokers.!! Have just purchased two Boker Edelweiss razors that are in transit to my humble abode.

What I'd do to add a Boker 1056 to the collection!!!! Still looking for a good deal on one.

Love the spine on the 1056.

It would just be a hair shorter but still very serviceable. I have repaired a few like that. It just takes a low speed cutoff wheel and a slow continuous water drip to keep the steel cool and lubricated while you cut it. Then a light grinding wheel action to smooth and roll the hard edges, buff and you are back in business. Takes all of a half hour to do. I had a thread on how to do it somewhere.
I appreciate the encouragement, I'll consider the cut down, I like round-points anyway. I'm not that great with power tools, but I know some people who can handle my shortcomings.
Don't get hung up on hanging hairs.
