Thanked: 0Vlad, I'm starting to get jealous. Everyone seems to be receiving their package and I'm still waiting..
Lately, the mailman and the man from brown have been delivering a lot of packages to my house. I think my wife probably had a word with them and asked them to help her wean me off my latest purchasing spree.....

Vlad,
Yeaaaa!!! mine came today. I was totally impressed with the way you put them in a nice container and had them all organized and labeled. Job well done. A job way beyond the call of duty............thanks. Now to try them out, watch out stains and rust and whatever else gets in the way.if anything has been abnormal for a long enough period it then becomes normal.

A quick test of PSA sanding disks
About three months ago I took one of my old Wade & Butchers blades and put scales on it and cleaned up the blade with what I had on hand, your basic dremel stuff and some Haas. Today I took the PSA disks that Vlad had sent and tried the 100, 220, 400, 1200, 2000 grit disks just for a quick polish to see how they work. They actually did pretty well considering the blade had some pretty good pits on it. I think that I could have done better using the 100 to grind out the pits but that would have taken some time.
The first two pics are before and the last two are after. There is some improvement though.if anything has been abnormal for a long enough period it then becomes normal.

I got mine today. That's quite a kit for the money Vlad. I just took a quick pass on a wedge to check out the mandrel and found it very nice. I'll try it on a hollow ground tomorrow to check out the flexibility and such. I just want to reming every body that it's not difficult to lose focus and shred your mandrel when you are working near the ends of the blade. It's definitely and eye opener when it happens. I hope there will be replacements available at some point. Thanks again Vlad!

I am interested in getting a set. Are you out? If so, will you be getting more?

Glad to hear you guys like the kits.
The mandrels are guaranteed for life (mine) so if you shred yours just let me know and I will replace it. I said so a while back in this thread. I also said that if you shred the mandrel then chances are good that the blade you were working on is toast. So it will cost you more than it will cost me.
I have two kits left but will be putting them on e-bay to see if there is more interest out there for these things. I also want to recoup some money for costs which I did not include in my original estimates.
I will be lining up a shop to punch the disks for me. If I manage to do that then I will continue to offer these kits and refills. No more manual punching for me. I'd rather sand by hand.
I have not had any time to try out mine!I was too busy setting up my workshop for box production. It is now almost complete and 15 sample boxes are in progress. I will post pictures when they are done. Although, 10 are going to Bill Ellis, the rest will me made available to members here before going on the open market.
