    I did my share of stick welding in the '70s and '80s. IMHO 60 and 70 series rod would be too hard, but I might be wrong, I was wrong once before.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    In one of his videos I think I saw Maestro Livi pick up a stub of a stick welding electrode and make a pin out of it. I could be wrong, but that's what it looked like. It's probably not the perfect material, but should work if you pick a fairly soft rod.
