I was fortunate to pick up a couple Dubl Duck Goldedge razors recently. Warped scales on both, minor areas of neglect, typical? almost total loss of gold on tang and monkey tail etc. The larger 6/8 round point has some minor issues as well which could be addressed at a later time... My concern is the 5/8 blade which has been subject to unusual grinding or damage to the tip which has resulted in a chaotic reverse French point... Perhaps there is a name for it... (messed up). My question is.... If you owned it would you have a capable razorsmith correct the tip and return it to a somewhat more normal point? Realizing it would turn it into more of a Gold-Dwarf Duck... Or would you simply leave it well enough alone? I have a whopping $13.75 invested in it so I could afford to make the subtle change without being upside down on my total outlay. Here are some pics of the offending Duck Bill...
