Thanked: 74Here is the method I follow, edit as needed to fit your usage needs.
1. Buy razor for price I am willing to pay
2. Spend hours working with razor to (hopefully) make it better than when I got it.
3. Set sell price of razor just below the guilt threshold based on price I paid in step 1.
If I got a super deal on the razor, then the next guy is going to get one as well. $10 for a W&B Chopper is not going to be sold for $200 by me.
The amount of time that I spend working on the razor seems to have no bearing on the amount of money I try and sell the razor for.
What may choke you up a little though is seeing a razor that you sold to someone for what you consider to be a good price, being resold for more than what you sold it for.
But really, you are probably not doing this for profit. You are doing this to keep SWMBO happy and have a little funds for the next razor project.

Eric,
just in case but before you do decide to eventually make use of the classifieds you better read SRP's guidelines. The most important rule to follow in your case is.
Members wishing to post a 'For Sale' (FS) or 'For Trade' (WTT) ad must have a minimum of three (3) months of membership and no less than 100 posts or six (6) months of membership and no fewer than 50 posts. Exceptions to this rule may be made by the senior moderator team.
Thanks.
