Hello, new guy here. Been lurking for awhile, absorbing info, but this is my first time posting on these forums.

I posted this question over on B&B, but figured you guys could probably help also.

Both were completely covered in rust, look like they've been at the bottom of a lake for the last 50 years, but have great scales, no cracks or chips, no warping, and no rust at the edge. So far I have the Torrey at a near mirror finish, almost completed. Just needs a final buffing to remove the 2000 grit scratches. Ill post pics in the restore thread when its done.

I'm guessing its always better, value-wise, to re use the original scales? Or is it better to put new ones on?

Anyways, moral of the story is that I really like restoring these things, but the wife will only let me keep so many(have 8 straights now, lol). So I'm just wondering how to appropriately price them for sale here on the b/s/t.

Also, maybe there is someone I can pm pics to when they are finished, who can give me a professional opinion of what theyre worth?

Thanx!
Eric
Thanks for any help you can give me!!
