    Default Polishing Tumbler for Blades?

I have a vague memory of seeing a post by someone here who uses, at some point in restoring an old blade, a tumbler full of media like corncob, the kind of thing used by folks who reload their own ammunition to clean brass cases.

I'd be interested in hearing how and when that's a good idea, since I've got one and would be interested in using it.

A vibratiry one I can see as working. I have cleaned up metal parts for various things in a rotary tumbler with walnut shell, but I would not reccoment putting a straight razor in one
