    I'm thinking on picking up one of those vibrating pencil erasers. I have seen their prices all over the board so if someone knows if there is a quality variance please let me know.

    There are several things from the watch repair world you could try. There is the scratch pen which has glass fibers and you just rub it. It's very effective. Then there is this stuff called rodico which is like a hard clay you can attach to a stick and watchmakers use it to polish brass and rhodium plate and they also use these sticks of pegwood which can also be used to remove rust.
