Congrats on your first. I like the classic scale shape tho I've always found nuts n bolts a little "clunky" for razors

Agree on the "clunky" fasteners. I'm sure they could be worked way down but am not sure if they would maintain integrity of strength. I'll go with regular pins when I do another.
Yes that is a straight razor holder. Very heavy piece of stainless from SRD if I remember correctly.Bob
