TI Replacement Pin and Washers
I ordered the bottom-of-the-line TI replacement scales for a blade I wanted to mount and use. The scales were nice, inexpensive, but the bonus was the pin and washers included. The pin looked like a little nail, but the head looked like a peened pin and washer. The included domed washers were a tad small, and had to be forced slightly onto the pins, where they held very snugly. this made it very easy to snip off the pin quite close and then peen the end of the pin.
It has been the fastest, easiest pinning in my short, novice experience in re-pinning razors.
So....does anyone know where I can buy these pins and itty-bitty domed washers?
I'll try to get a picture, but things that small are hard to get a good picture of.

You can get them from the invisible edge.

Thanked: 10I used the pins from InvisibleEdge and they worked well. I was confounded by the tight fit of the domed washers until Steve advised using a piece of drilled plastic to facilitate tapping them into place after balancing them on the tips of the pins.

Classicshaving.com offers a great set for $3.00 a set. Check under display and restoration. I use them all the time.

The Classic Shaving ones at $2.99 are considerably cheaper than UK7 pounds at Invisible Edge.

Aren't the ClassicShaving ones Dovo? Are they identical to the TI?
Also, maybe I was not clear. I don't want to have to pay $2-$4 for these little parts that actually only cost pennies.
I'd like to buy like 100 of the pins, about another 100 of the little friction washers, but I don't know what they are precisely called at the sites that sell stuff like that, and I don't know the sizes.
If anyone could steer me toward how to do bulk purchases of these parts, I'd be grateful. The washers especially are not the #0 brass washers that are the staple of re-pinning here. They are smaller, domed, and are a hard friction fit over the pin, which has a head that looks like a pin peened into a washer.
Thanks all!

I can't get the link to work, I can see the fotos, but can't find the right site. Does anyone know how to get the pins and washers in Europe anywhere? To buy it inin the US is way too expensive for the Europeans.

From memory - on Ebay search for straight razor repair. I think the supplier is in Germany so ideal for you in Denmark.
(I would take a look on your behalf but I can't access Ebay from this computer)My service is good, fast and cheap. Select any two and discount the third.

Revisor sells them as well, in sets of 50 pairs, in 3 different sizes.
[EDIT] If you meant the fancy ones, I can't help you there. Personally, I think they're quite ugly, but each to his own.
[EDIT#2] And Revisor was already mentioned. Sorry for the brain fart.Last edited by Pithor; 10-09-2015 at 02:02 PM.
