    +1 to glen's comment, these are not original scales. doesn't mean it isn't worth restoring though!

    Heirlooms are always special and special care should be taken to bring them back...If you haven't done any razors I suggest setting that one aside until you have the skills developed or sending it out...

    Getting the feeling you should maybe try it on another razor???

    So wish I had any relatives old razors, grats budy.

    Okay, so they're telling the truth. I'd send a family piece with sentimental value to one of the pros here to get her where you can enjoy her. Dave
