Why would anyone want yellow(heart) scales?
Just polished up the yellowheart replacement scales for my DD Wonderedge and I am pleased with the results. The finish is CA (Cyano-Acrylate, crazy glue) polished to a high gloss.
I think these are a worthy replacement for the orgininal celluloid ones that warped. What do you think?

Vlad,
As I said before, minus a word, those are really great looking. A new era in finishing has been discovered. Way to go.if anything has been abnormal for a long enough period it then becomes normal.

Looks great have to look at my DD's when I get home and see if any of them need new scales. I was wondering when you first talked about replacing them if the metal parts could be transfered over and I guess you've now answered that question.

Glad I'm getting some from you. I have a razor coming with an ivory celluloid covered tang...gonna go great with the yellowheart.

Those scales are absolutely spectacular. Well done. You're a true craftsman. Please post a photo when you get them mounted to a blade.

hehe, true. They are great, and a nicest replacement for the originals one can imagine. I've never seen this wood before, it's quite...yellow.
