Default Getting the staining off of a blade

How do I get the staining off of my razor. I don't have any power tools such as buffer wheels and that sort of thing. But, I would like to know how to get the staining out.

One thing that I use if there is no decoration on the blade face is metal polish and #0000 steel wool.

    +1.

Lots of people polish with Maas and Flitz. I prefer Maas....I think it smells better.

Maas, Flitz, Mothers...pretty much any metal polish and a bit of elbow grease will take care of a lot, but use caution around any gold...
