It's definately a nice looking razor.
Coming from Bill that is no surprise.
No doubt the edge of this razor
would just at even the toughest
    of whiskers.

I would love to see one with curly maple
    scales. Curly maple is BEAUTIFUL.......

Oh, Terry... That's coming up. As soon as I get my wood back from K & G. Spalted maple, too...[/QUOTE]

    Bill,

Glad to hear that. Though I can't commit to buying
a razor with curley maple scales - I can start saving
    for it.

Spalted maple sounds interesting - I've never heard
    of it.

Basically, it's rotted wood. Mostly from the part of the tree that was below ground level. At least that is what it is as relayed to me from other knife makers. It has great figure and was once considered useless because it is so soft. Now that the stuff can be stabilized, it has found its way into a ton of new uses. Knife handles being one of them. Stabilization involves putting the wood in a heated vacuum chamber using polymers and such to keep it from warping or shrinking ever again.

Bill you gonna restore/make any wedges larger than 8/8 with this or any other woods??

Bill how did you paste this picture. I attempted to copy and paste, but could not get it to allow me. Thanks for posting the bigger version. The smaller one does not do justice. jmsbcknr
