Thanked: 13246All pins loosen ..
The Adjustable ones loosen easier and are also easier to tighten.
The Peened ones take longer to loosen but are a bit more challenging to tighten..

I have used them on like 12 razors now, and I have found that indeed, if you do not peen them over properly, the will work loose in time. As a matter of fact, they will work loose in the mail, sending to be honed, if not properly peened over as well.
See, we think we are getting by easy using the microfasteners, but in fact, you still have to master the peen in order to mushroom the top so it holds the small nut securely until you are ready to remove it. Then a simple dremmel cut off tool and bingo, it's free and easy to remove.
Throw it out, and re-do it when your done. I tighten as I go. after about 15-20 peen taps, the nut starts to loosen. Tighten it, and resume peening. After another 20-30 peen taps, check it again. Pretty soon, it's on there tight as could be, and cannot work loose again.
I learned this lesson the hard way, buy having one come practically off en-route to my home. By the time it got here, it was hangin on by a thread, literally. It could have been a bigger problem in just a few more days had the blade come free completely.
I leave about 1/8" of extra bolt after trimming, then peen that sucker like crazy till it stays tight on it's own.
It's an art...
I'm doing much better at making real peened pins now though. I'm still going to use up what Micro's I have left...
Good luck!!!
