How about grinding the blade out into something like this ?

It's not perfect, but the chip is gone, you keep the etching as well as the overall width of the blade.

What a bummer. Sorry for your loss there. Like Glenn24 said, maybe getting someone who knows their stuff and has the tools to reshape the blade ?
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

If you want to maintain the looks and aesthetics, I agree with the sentiments above. If all you want is a razor that shaves well, I believe the chip can be removed and shave worthiness restored. Doing so will somewhat mar the cosmetics of the blade, and possibly even the spine.

Thanks, I think the re-grind would be ok, but would it be worth the cost is another issue. Thanks for all the replies.

If you want it done something like Glen24's razor above, I could take care of that for ya. Like mentioned above, it will be a good shaver, but would not look original. The cost would be rather high for me to do it for you @ $5.40...the price for a USPS small priority flat rate box.
