Is this razor a lost cause?
So I got this razor a while back.. it has a HUGE chip by the stabilizer piece, it also has some pitting and devils spit along the bevel. can it be reground to have a shape to incorporate the chip (if you get what im saying) i have a pic attatched of the blade and a thiers issard with a shape similar to what im talking about.. thanks yall! i really want to try and save this bad girl! (sorry for the bad pics)

Looks tricky, you will end up with one heck of a smile, or a small blade. I can see why you want to save that blade, very nice.

I have seen a bunch of photos where people grind out the shoulder, kind of like extending from the tang forward. It doesn't appeal to me personally, but it's something that can be done. Search Pimp my Kropp for one example.

Thanked: 1072Yes, re-shaping the heel area of the blade should work fine IMO. Provided you know what your doing.
As for the Swiss cheese bevel edge of the blade, I would just hone with a lower grit hone and see if you can find clean steel
