Thanked: 443possible fancy domed washers
I started a mini-quest tonight to see if I could find any interesting washers, and wandered into the realm of bead caps, like these (scroll down about halfway for the shallower ones). If you navigate back to Findings, then check under different metal types, the site has them in sterling and copper, then under 14k gold they have something called Rondell Spacers.
Has anyone used any of these things as washers for pinning?"These aren't the droids you're looking for." "These aren't the droids we're looking for." "He can go about his business." "You can go about your business."

I think they are too thin. Also I don't like gold filled, or plated.
Solid brass, solid silver or stainless are a few materials you want to look for.
Solid spacer beads work well work well for me. Have been disappointed when something is hollow. Usually whatever you get, you'll end up cutting them down and sanding to thickness. Hollow ones don't survive well through that it seems
Ebay vendor valclaws has some I've liked, like the following links. Much less expensive than what you are considering too- posted vendor name due to eventually the link will go dead

Thanked: 1936I know that the "5MM SOLID BRASS FLORET SPACER BEADS" can be found at my local Hobby Lobby. If you happen into one go to the bead section and they have metal beads of all sorts. Sometimes the beads we are looking for are in a glass case as well. Typically that's the sterling silver though.
