    C utz, the epoxy I use works on almost anything. For liners, if you can get micarta then that would be ideal.

    The reason I use liners is to create a lmination therefore strengthening wood that may be fragile.

    For laminated scales, I've decided on titanium. It's a b**ch to cut and shape and a bit on the pricey side but it's very strong, lightweight, is springy and resistant to creasing. These are problems I've found with other liner materials that were all solved with titanium.

    Robert... I think titanium is a bit much to throw at the guys without any experience. It's too difficult to work with. Once they learn how to get the other stuff down, then they could try titanium.

    And if you are using titanium, I hope you are not wasting it by not giving it some color, first.
