Update
I guess if I'm going to admit that I took this beautiful blade to a grinder, I should go all out and admit the rest of my folly. As you can guess, I ain't split no atoms lately...
Tip: If you want to get a sharp edge all the way out to the toe, you have to hone all the way out to the toe! When I got out my gear to reset the bevel on this, I started with the marker, and lo and behold - I had not honed the toe. I guess I was in such a hurry to try this baby out, that I forgot the fundamentals.
After doing the job the right way, I shaved with the project and had an exceptional shave. Not only close, but amazingly smooth. This one goes into regular rotation.

That's very kind. i actually had a ball doing the restoration, even learning from the error, um, oversight. I don't really regret the grinding part, as the frown is gone and i didn't remove even a millimeter. I have 2 more W & Bs to restore and am greatly looking forward to getting them started. I wish I had taken before pictures, but all of them have been on the buffer already.

That is one beautiful razor. If it shaves as nice as it looks you have a winner.
