Gotta go with cudarunner on this one. Tomorrow is my 27th anniversary, and you can fib, but its just easier to tell her. (you're gonna end up telling her anyway...)

When watching the video I saw that he was using a tube to go around the blade end pin. I looked at a bunch of pinning kits on eBay and none of them came with this tube. Is using the tube standard practice? I also saw that most of the kits seem to have nickel silver pins but SS washers, although the thrust washers looked to be nickel silver but I really can't say for certain. A good example of what I'm referring to is this.

I also don't really have a desire to make my own scales at this point (perhaps later). Is there a place where I can simply purchase them?

I just removed the scales from some old razors of mine and none of them had a sleeve over the blade end pin, however, in the video that I watched he used one. What tends to be the standard use, using a sleeve or not using one? None of the kits on eBay that I saw had any sleeves, just pins and washers. Is there a specific vendor that I should use for the pinning kits? I don't mind spending a bit more for quality.
