Unhappy Where in the UK can I get my straight razor restored?

Hi guys, I am just wondering if any of you know where in the UK I can get my straight razor restored? In an ideal world I would do it myself but I'm at university and don't have the time at the moment but I want to learn to start using my straight razor asap! Do any of you guys provide a straight razor restoration service?

I am prepared to send it off within the UK - I have been hunting high and low on the internet for people that do this and someone suggested that I post on forums so I thought I would give it a go!

Many thanks guys - any information would be very much appreciated!

Thanks for the speedy reply - really appreciate it! I have contacted both of them - I think I managed to find Neil Miller's email so thanks for the advice there!!!

Thanks Russ - have you had a razor restored by Neil Miller in the past? Do you have any idea of prices or anything!?

    frankimposter,

I have had many razors worked on by Mr Miller, both full restores and re-scaling and his work (and honing work) is really top notch

The translucent blonde rams-horn scales he did for three (3) of my razors are just beautiful !

I also have many of his strops, both hanging and paddle and they also are world class; his magnetic aluminium paddle has been by daily strop for a long, long while

Please PM Mr Miller here at SRP for pricing.

    Have fun !

    Best regards

    Russ

Steve from The Invisible Edge restores razors. Have a look at some of his work here: Restored custom razors

just found this site. Have already sent a straight razor out to restoredrazors.com for restoration. Looking on here only info am finding is for DE razors. Anyone have any experience of his work on straights?

No sorry, like you only used them for DE razors. I've used both Steve at Invisible Edge and Neil Miller at The Strop Shop and can recommend both. Hope that helps

those two were my first ports of call. unfortunately one is too busy to restore and the other say due to illness no restoration. Will just have to see how they turn out. cheers for reply though.
