Thanked: 2027That may serve you well for some killer scales.
You can find some great wood products in the strangest places,I have found large ebony african carvings at garage sales, real cheap.
Broken down solid teak patio furniture in dumpsters (very avid diver).
Large boat salvage yards are a great source for real Lignum vitae, they strip the lignum out of the bronze prop shaft bearings and usually burn it on site.
Old building teardowns are a treasure trove.
Used furniture places almost always have a dumpster on site, busted up table leafs from back in the day are mostly solid cherry or real mahogany, lots of great stuff out there.

Thanked: 3228Yea, a lot of people overlook scavenging for different woods. The larger the center you live in the better it is. It's hard to think outside the box sometimes too.
