    Olav, I love it the wood is a great look. The the look is what I call old school which is very cool. I really like the grain in the wood.

    Nice work Olav. For my first scale job I used silver wire for the pins, square, but I filed it into cylinder, and flattened copper wire for washers...

    Thank you all for your encouraging words.
    I treated them with linseed oil. Will continue to wipe them down with it every now and then. Birch is not that resistant to water, I know, but Mongolia is extremly dry so I thought it might work.
    This curly birch is a little tougher than ordinary birch thanks to all the swirls and knots. And I just love it.
    I haven't been able to buy Bill's CD yet so I didn't go for liners and it is hard to find any good material in the city were we live. Maybe in Ulaanbaatar they have thin brass material. One can always order from abroad of course.
