    Thanks for all the comments and help errbody. I was pretty interested in the tumbler, but I've wanted to do this by hand, so I start sanding/buffing everywhere except on the etching face (save the tumbler for the next project). Turning out really good I think. I'll probably try to work around the etch, maybe some very fine buffing over it. I'll be taking pictures and post them if I'm not too ashamed of what I've done

    Looking forward to pic's. I have a W&B with a frosted etching, that makes me nervous to touch for a restoration.

    I'll post pics after I finish the scales and everything, but I will say I kind of wish I didn't touch the etching at all. I ended up using some some high grit sand paper and light polish... probably should have only went for the polish if anything. The etching is still there, and actually uncovered some of it hidden under the grime, but it is very light now. Although the razor it is "prettier" now, in hindsight I probably would have buffed and polished everything else and left the etching alone. I'm really happy with it though and can't wait to get it done and shave.
