Glad it worked out for you. It's always nice when you learn a new skill, especially when it's something so specialized.
Have fun, when I figured out how to pin properly I ended up re-pinning every razor that I owned.Through the mud and the blood, to the green fields beyond.

The funny thing is ... I have already made my first set of scales and pinned a ERN razor not more than a couple months ago. I guess with all the reading in the Wiki I forgot how much rod to use.
I cannot wait to see how it shaves. I think I might wait until the sample pack from T&H comes in ... I'm starting not to like the Van Der Hagen soap.

Yes, by the time you're peening with the washers on both sides, the rod should only barely stick out beyond the washer or you will be tapping for a very long time.
