    For razor scales you need a basic starting blank size near 1x6x1/8 inches unless you plan on Hybrid, Inlayed, or Layered blanks..

    Any material that can be Strong, Flexible, and Waterproof (or at least resistant) at the 1/10-1/8 in thickness should work
