Good results. I still perfer sand by hand, kind of more intimate, more contol, usualy less oppses and uh-ohs. But seeing how shiney i comes out i may just need to put mr.dremel to the test on a restore... just maybe not on an epic blade on the first go at it. Thanks for the play by play and pics to match!

Thanked: 1184I was staying away from it too but I got a razor that needed a lot more than I have in years to do it by hand. Seemed like a step up in work per hours and a way to the big toys I hope to be using soon. Mine is corded and I have the remote stylus thingy. More control and as you say intimate. I had a few oops but if you plan for that while working it doesn't hurt or do much at all. Tape areas you might hit by accident and always be aware of what it can catch on and launch.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Dremel polishing
It is a task to do carefully. If you're not it can grab the blade right out of your hand. Experience has shown me to start on a 'caste away' that you won't be missing if anything happens.

Nice job Bart, just make sure you keep your glasses on when working that Dremel. Don't get in a hurry & forget them.
