Thanked: 30Maas Polish - First Time User Opinion
I AM SOLD!
I know its posted countless times but I never took the time to order some, and its not local anywhere in my area. I cant stop polishing stuff. I did most of my straight razors, my Gillettes, a couple metal banks, some pocket knives, a few watches, some scrap silver,....I keep wondering - What will it not work on?!?!?!

Have you ever used Mothers polish? It's what I use now and I've been wanting to try MAAS or BlueMagic. I wonder how different metal polishes can really be from one another so I'd be interested to see if anyone ever actually did an experiment.

A BIG plus one for Mother's! If you use it agressively like Brad aka Undreamed demos in his restoration videos, I think you'll be amazed at what it can do. Aaron

Thanked: 3I used Mother's polish for awhile as that was all I could find near me. It worked decent enough for what I was using it for. Then one day while browsing a new hardware store I found a tube of Maas. Figured I would try it out. IMHO it seemed to work much better than Mothers, especially on a few DE razors I had laying around. Once I run out, I will be getting more for sure.

Thanked: 3215Strop on it post Chrome Oxide, I do believe most of these polishes are Cerium Oxide. My result stopping with both are very similar.
2-3 in x's on fine nylon strop or Polyester Sailcloth work great. Do the other side with Chrome Oxide.
You will be amazed at your edges.
Next step... CBN

Thanked: 0Need help, would like to do some polishing on my blades. But im afraid that all the buffers I have found, have to high of an r.p.m. I had read that the speed should be at 1300 r.p.m. And the buffers that I have found have a range of 2000 - 7000 r.p.m. is the 2000 to fast ? What is to fast, would hate to mess up a good blade. Thanks

Thanked: 194I prefer Flitz metal polish over them all. I find it to be just awesome! MAAS is pretty good stuff too.
