Default Paua/Abalone scales, how it's done?

I really want to upgrade some of my razors and give them that sexy marine look with a pair of new paua or abalone scales but I have no idea how to do it. I've search in the forums but I couldn't find a proper tutorial or explanation on how it's done. I know that I need to use a sheet of abalone, but thats all I know . My guess is that maybe there's a clear epoxy casting involved in the procedure?
Doe's anyone here can kindly shed some light and explain (or show with pics, even better) how it's done?
    Many thanks!

The pawa/abalone is sandwich between clear plexiglas sheets. The glue that is ued is unknown to me.
In the end it may be easier to just buy the premade scale material.
