    Had time today to knock out a couple scales. Not real good pics but you"ll get the idea.

    Hmmmm,.....perhaps use some multicolored Dymondwood or paper micarta with layers of different colors?
    Top layer of brass
    red
    black
    white bottom

    Never tried Dymondwood, but I have a scrap piece of micarta I will see what happens. Stay tuned, will post a pic good or bad

    Well I tried, what else can you say. Micarta is just to hard. It wants to melt more then anything. Kinda figured that would be the case.

    Yep 75w CO2 Epilog 36 EXT.
    Does make it easy to make scales.
