Thanked: 485Hmmm. I do have the old scales but to tell you the truth they seem rather narrow. Then again, I possibly exaggerated the blade width a little, it's 7/8 at the widest point.
It's rather funny that there are suggestions I make my own. You clearly don't know me. I have very few tools. Then again I keep looking around the house for things I could use.
I AM a little worried that last night I considered digging up the cat we buried in the garden last year to use its bones.
I wonder if the farmer next door would notice if one of his cows lacked a horn? I do have a hacksaw blade. But how to DO it, that is the question. Maybe a rag soaked in chloroform held to Daisy's unsuspecting nose in the dead of night?Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

You also could find an old razor with good scales to restore but with a useless blade... those are cheap.

Thanked: 485Yeah, thought about that. I'm thinking of the bone scales here...

Thanked: 443Carl, if you can wait for the international mail I've got some large plastic scales I could send you. I like wooden scales, as it turns out, and don't really need these. One set is white, another is black, and the third is an unfortunate approximation of nicotine-stained teeth. Let me know...

Thanked: 485Hmmm, sounds cool. Yes, I can wait, I'd need to wait for the others anyway. I have some wooden scales that were on a razor I tries to do up a while ago. Unfortunately I asked my brother to polish it on his wheel thing and I think he went too hard and now it's got a hairline crack. I could send you that razor with the scales still on it. I doubt the razor is any good, its an Erik Anton Berg 3/4; the scales look like they may be hand made; they are a very light wood...

Thanked: 443Hey Carl, I'm to much of a moving target right now to commit to a project. I was thinking of sending you the scales. Pick a color and send me your addy.
Right now I'm clearing out a house for the foreclosure sale and pondering the logistics of moving to California. My own address is uncertain."These aren't the droids you're looking for." "These aren't the droids we're looking for." "He can go about his business." "You can go about your business."
