    Funny you should say that, because I only rarely notice Belgian websites popping up in my searches. I had not considered that until you mentioned it.

    I tried, but I was unable to find them. In fact, they used to sell brass rods and have stopped that, so I count myself lucky I ordered mine on time.

    For me, just the looks. I think for some scales, silvery metal would look better than golden.

    Microscrews no longer sells rods but you can find them in metal/tool shops for about €3 per meter perhaps?

    Check your German and Dutch ebay equivalent. I have seen pinning kits there at a good value.

    Found some! It turns out nickel-silver has quite a few nicknames (German silver, Argentan, new silver, nickel brass, albata, alpacca, or electrum).
    At de Zilverwinkel | Edelsmid gereedschap they sell alpaca wire, 1m for some 5 euros. The first result looks very promising.

    Nog 1 waar je stafmateriaal kan verkrijgen. Volgens mij verkopen ze ook ringetjes.
