Thanked: 2027was turning a brush handle a few days ago,multi wood composite,ivory, horn,the sucker was fantastic,Have a real High mountain White knot for it which is an amazing Knot BTW.
Was done, ready for cutoff,maybe a little more polishing me thinks,Re-chuck it,ran the tailstock live center back in place,give it a couple cranks,split the entire handle into 3 pces 8 hrs of work destroyed in a second.Bad stuff happens,but so do's good sometimes.

So true. Glad to hear about the knot cause I have a High Mountain knot on the way that I have been wanting to see how it will turn out.

I got it from a site and it was about $16 for 26mm so figured I would try it out.

The one I got was called High Mountain finest badger not silvertip. I should have specified that since I am assuming you mean silvertip now. I thought I would try it after reading a post on here saying that it was a really nice knot.

I got a 26mm brush handle that the knot is going to go into and compared to the 20-22mm brushes I have and it is huge. I really didn't think it would be that much bigger. I didn't realize just how big 4-6mm really is.

OMG what did you use for the knot? the bottom of a broom? Never seen a knot that big. I think a brush that size bloomed out would lather your entire face in one swirl. To think I thought 26mm was big. How wrong I was.
