    Default Shapton Mounting System

If your like me, you bought a Shapton, but didn't spring for the full options package, I.E. No DGLP, (you don't really need it, a DMT D8XX or D8C works fine) and you didn't buy the holder...You don't need it, but that is one skinny hone, I tried to come up with a way to raise it off the table/counter so you don't drag your knuckles when you hone.
You could flip a Norton Blue plactic box and use that, or you could do what I did. These are large rubber wheels used in Automated Machinery.
They work great as rubbber feet for a shapton in conjunction with a rubber mat. I use the stuff you line tool boxes with. It is perforated, so water drains through and it's machine washable, plus it feels rubbery, so it'll hold any hone like glue. I took some pics, you get the idea. Sorry, My camera sux, this is the best I could do. I have a limited number of rubber feet, if anyone would like some, just pay me shipping. 2.50 should cover anywhere in the U.S.....

P.S. Rubber Matting not included, Available at Home Depot, Lowes, etc....

That's a good idea too, Anyway to make them higher...
What I liked about these is that they're rubbery, and have a wide base. They hold really well. You could probably put a third one in the middle, but I don't think it's needed...
