Some of the etsy prices are ridiculous as my father would say chancers trying their luck. Caveat emptor.

A suehiro gokumyo 15k or 20k leaves a better finish IMO. I can get the same finish off a kouzaki jnat from JNS and that stone is 150 ish. Ozuku asagi same price range (150 ish) and keener and just as smooth but as always YMMV. These things are collectibles so there lies the value i guess.

It wasn't too long ago a 7 x 1.5 was going for $750.00, Now not so much. That looks like a Barber's Delight or Barber's choice type Escher, in the Box, full label, with slurry stone. Like Bill said, great if your a collector, but the price is still high. It just depends what you want, and what your willing to pay. If you just want an Escher to hone with, I'd wait for a 7 x 1.5 to pop up. You can probably grab one for a whole lot less. I'd definitely wait, and be patient. Escher's are known to be quality hones that leave a nice smooth edge.
