Do you think that would have much of a detrimental effect on razor photography?

As long as we're discussing photographic faux pas, here are a few other things that bug me:

    • Weird angles - Because the distortion they cause makes it difficult to judge geometry; low angle, end-on shots are particularly bad!
    • Background that aren't flat - Same as above. I've seen photos where the background hid a frown, or even have the illusion of one
    • Incorrect white balance - This screws up color reproduction, and so mostly impacts scales. Usually the problem is due to shooting under incandescent lights with the camera set for daylight

I'm not saying that everyone should be shooting pro quality shots...I'm an amateur, too!

When you are dead, you don't know that you are dead. It's difficult only for the others.
It's the same when you are stupid.

Hey, they're selling them. They aren't going to be using them. They don't care anymore. You buy it and it's your problem.

The most faithful rendition is given by an 18 per cent grey background, but seeing as most people never check the luminosity or colour balance of their monitors, that is a moot point..

Of course, if you are HOPING to hide a defect or flaw, bad photography is good photography
