Honestly, aside from the two shown by the OP, it looks mostly like Ebay to me, except not quite as much junk! . Price expectations are pretty high on some items, IMO.
Happy with what I have. Gotta be!

I appreciate the auctions but I am not a buyer. A few years ago I would have been..as in the Robert Doyle collection 4-5 years ago.

For anybody considering bidding on any of these razors, REMEMBER This auction house charges an INSANE 20% buyers premium!

Which means, if you bid 100 dollars, they are going to charge you 120. And I have no clue what they are going to charge to pack and ship, but you can bet your bippy its going to be above market rate.
And just because I'm a suspicious sort, I'm not so sure somebody does not have a vested interest in this auction.

Myself, I NEVER shop at auction houses with premiums above 15% You don't even want to know what they are charging the SELLERS.

Usually the charges are higher for the buyers than for the seller. (like 10% for the seller / 25% for the buyer)

That "buyer's premium" is a rip-off as far as I'm concerned.

Historically, the seller paid the auction fees, but in the last several years it seems that people just want to throw their money away. I won't buy from an auction house with a buyer's premium.

That being said, there are some NICE old razors for sale. Looking at some of the other stuff they have for sale, I expect there will be several heavy hitters ( like PHRANK ) buying up the super cool stuff.

Nothing there for me - all my heavy hitters are downstairs and doing fine...the only razor that will catch my eye now is a 9/8 W&B spike point, and haven't seen one of those (aside from the one I shaved with today) in a long, long time.

When you figure in the buyers premium, shipping charges, personal check and max of fourteen days for your check to clear. "I'll Pass".

Thankfully I live within an easy drive of the auction, I have actually personally handled most of these blades at preview. Word is well out now so these will not go cheap, but thankfully I have a large collection already that can be sold off to deepen the old pockets. As Zak said, the catalog is a great record of them, and having held them they are more amazing in person.

And as would hopefully be expected, anything Zak or I win will be thoroughly documented and posted to SRP
