Exactly, the two of the blade above with no scales showing are the eBay blade. It all got muddled when a member confused that with the stenton I was talking about in the initial bit of the thread. Other razors have been chucked up in this thread since so I figured the auction link was enough for continuity. Out of curiosity, did you ask for additional pics or is raw height and maker the draw for you? It's always interesting to me to see what is the sell for someone. Like I would have gone higher of it weren't as tall but still had the etch/heavy grind like the black scaled example I put up. I hit the brakes at $300 personally once I got additional pictures. I hope the steel treats you well during restoration!

I stopped at $330 and I was iffy about that because the grind. Hopefully whoever won it is happy with what they bought. It was funny that two people put in bids of exactly 500 but the guy who won was 2 seconds earlier.

I think he also put a prior bid in. Tie goes to earliest bidder. I was going to go up to $300.00. Not going to go any higher. Any blade an inch or more is just crazy. But I want one but at my price. Hunting season soon so back to the antique shops we go.
