Thanked: 480I'm glad I dont own any big FBU blades, because if all it takes to make them is a trip to an etch machine, it will soon be impossible for the average joe to tell whats real, whats not, and the value of the originals might tank if nobody believes them to be honest anymore, (or sudden supplies cause lower demand)

Thanked: 2Good information to all the collectors out there.. THey mght be re-etched, but are they genuine Wade and Butcher Razors? If so I don't see the point of etching them witht he celebrated text, love the razor as it is or go find the actual celebrated razor, just my opinion.

I recently saw this on a pocket watch case that looked like it was laser etched but claimed to be original. Old pocket watches with engravings - especially trains - go for more money but this engraving looked to perfect and didn't show the wear normally seen on 100+ year old cases. I guess we have to be on guard all the time.

Thanked: 77There's a person on this site that is reopening the Wade and butcher company. There's another Trend about this but I can't remember the name of it. Also go to Wadeandbutcher.com
