Initially I was amused, and actually I still am to some extent. Communication by text is tricky, in part because there is no tone but there is not any facial expressions either. No offense was ever taken or intended. I offer you a hearty handshake and a smile.

In answer to the OP I agree with the majority in saying to start a claim and let it sort itself out.

Thank you an I offer you the same in return. As you stated no tone no expression so I was unsure also. Everyone have a great day.

There seems to be a trend on Ebay.... out of my last 6 purchases... 4 of them were refunded by Ebay due to the seller either not responding, or not being able to make their case. If I go back 1 or 2 years, this sort of thing did not happen to me. I'm generally careful and check feedback etc. but even that can't protect you from the seller suddenly stopping to respond. It may seem odd, but I think we need to remember, sometimes things happen. Seller gets sick and has to go to the hospital, seller dies suddenly, seller suddenly finds him/her self in a divorce situation and the list will go on.

At least Ebay seems to mean it when they say they will protect a buying from bad sellers... but I tried to find a way to contact them once, and it was impossible other than through the automated dispute mechanism that won't allow you to raise an alarm until the estimated delivery time has passed. Case in point, I ordered something... the item was never marked as shipped, sellers feedback was switched to private so they were no longer an active seller, yet I had to wait almost 50 days before I could initiate my claim and I still had to wait 4 days for a reply I knew was never coming....<sigh>. I was refunded promptly after that, but I needed the item, and my money was tied up for almost 2 months before I could purchase from someone else.

That said, I never spend more than I'm willing to loose, just in case.

Hmmm, now I'm back at work, my gf informs me the razor finally made it. WTH?! 21 days over due and no response to emails.
Now what? Paypal the money back? Discount for the hassle? I wonder if ebay refunded or they took if from the vendor somehow.
I don't like stiffing the guy if I got what I paid for.
Maybe I should try to email him again.

I would at least try emailing the seller, I sold one just lately and it got stuck somewhere in the postal system and got to the buyer 6 days late and that was all just in the U.S.

I would at least contact the vendor and let them know it arrived, offer to pay for the item again, offer to let paypal know what has happened and see what, if any response you get

I sent an email, we'll see what happens. No other items listed. He may be gone for the holidays, who knows. See what happens, I guess.
    Cheers gents.
