Still sending emails, still nothing. I'll try until after the holidays. I want some response before just sending via paypal.

Personally, I wouldn't send any more e-mails, or the Paypal until he returns your communication. Like you said, I wouldn't beg someone to take my money, even if it is ultimately the right thing to do.

I agree that I wouldn't beg him. The ball is in his court.

I purchased a Kropp razor on Ebay and it never arrived. I put in a dispute with Ebay, they contacted the seller and waited 11 days. Still no razor. Ebay refunded my money. I don't blame the seller because I have bought from them before. They had a French PO tracking number that says it made it to the US but no US tracking number. To bad, it was a beauty and a great price.

In the future I'll allow more time to clear customs. Sadly the seller still hasn't responded. I love the razor.

This is still a crazy time for postal services it seems, and it has begun before Christmas. The stuff I sent to a few folks in the States took 6 weeks to arrive. I had to keep calming one of them constantly, since he thought I was trying to stitch him. Another was to a friend.. no problems there, he is a patient man. To add to the trouble, USPS hasn't registered any of the packages I sent, so basically, there was no way to track them once they left my country. In the end all worked out fine, but that was a lot of stress... the money, nor the items, don't even begin justify the time and the nerves spent.

As for me, I am still waiting on a razor to arrive, sent on Dec 7... loosing hope slowly

This is why when I send anything now, of any value, I insure it, for International send registered and insured. I hate to pay the extra, but the stress if I don't do that is more costly than $. Don't ask me how I know.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

You may have given me the same advice last year around time as well, when some guy from the UK tried to steal my stuff and get his money back through ebay. [emoji2]

    Does international insurance actually work?
I have been told by a PO clerk that once the package leaves the country they can't guarantee anything. The only exception is express mail which has automatic insurance of 200 built in it.

Yes...but...it is really expensive to ship with "Global Express." I just shipped a stone to the UK and the shipping plus insurance was over USD $150. If you buy from overseas on the 'bay, be aware that the shipping cost of anything they say will be "Global Express" will be atrocious! Shipped from Europe, the costs are fair for normal shipping to the CONUS. From CONUS insured shipping anywhere is expensive.
Most shippers have a limit on the value they will insure. Only one shipper does the signature delivery. If you are shipping out of the country it may be best to consider to a customer supplied business address that would be open during delivery hours.

Since the influx of refugees to many European countries, the customs and post are very concerned with finding drugs and weapons. Lots of extra help is needed and...you pay for it.

Here is a link to USPS.
    https://www.usps.com/help/welcome.htm
It may help you to understand the shipping to overseas and to understand the CONUS shipping charges.
Just the tip of the iceberg in this day and age.
