My razor arrived and looks beautiful. I can't wait to try it out in the morning.

Mine arrived with my friend in Cali, yesterday, he will open it today for me to check it over, I am trying to save up for a Suehiro Gokumyo 20k, and that would also be sent to my friend and the pair come to me together, so I will be waiting probably untill back end of March before I get the razor in my hand here in the UK.

I'd like to have one of those. Just curious why they put the wedge-pin off-center, though? Do they glue the scales to the wedge? Is that wedge-end secure? They are nice-looking razors.

Thanked: 2284If I ever bought one of these, which I could see myself doing, I'd probably rescale mine down the road. I hate that off centre wedge pin. I think it's a design feature that sets them apart from others, but I think it looks stupid. Just my Opinion.
I really love the look of a few of their blades.Burls, Girls, and all things that Swirl....

My first shave went very well. I have to say all my other razors are 5/8" and full hollow. So this is a beefier razor. That being said it is very well balanced and does not feel heavy in the hand. The edge was perfect right out of the box and gave me one of the best shaves I have had in a while.
Now I think maybe I need to hone the rest of my razors!Peace!

I am partially with Harrywally. I like the look of the offset pin but the scales leave something to be desired. They work well and are nicely done just thick, I may 're scale it in the future but for now I'm just gonna enjoy it.

My friend has opened mine and says it's good no issues, so I'm happy.
As mentioned scales don't do it for me, that said I do have a kraken 2 inch long blade so its compact and has a blued blade, it closes nicely in its scales well made, but chunky ish.

Thanked: 15I just got home. My Hydra was waiting to be opened. Yep, some more time could be spent refining the scales. They could be a bit thinner and a wedge instead of a spacer.
Test shave: shave ready, easy to grip and maneuver. Nice smooth shave with little irritation. I'm happy!
