Ebay Lots
Bought this lot on a whim:

Here's another lot that would fall to $10 a razor for anyone who is interested in taking a risk...maybe a few nice blades? I'm thinking about learning how to hone and bring some old razors back to life.

Considering some of the prices on ebay right now...this doesn't seem too bad...what do you guys think?

I looked at those earlier today....think he had 3 or 4 lots total and all of them came with a couple of old hones. I thought it was a decent price - all the blades look serviceable if I remember correctly.

He had a wade and butcher in the lot I purchased... if i were to throw that back on ebay I'd probably get my money back for the others...haha

I wouldn't doubt it with prices the way they currently are. I think those are good deals....I'm just not in a good position myself right now to be buying a whole lot...go figure!

I ended up purchasing one of those lots earlier today. Mine consists of:
"Griffon" Germany. Richly etched "Carbo-Magnetic" (trademark).
Chris R. Johnson & Co., Sheffield, England. Blade etched "Hollow Ground".
Joseph Rogers & Sons, "Cutlers to Their Majesties", N0. 6 Norfolk Street, Sheffield, England.
Sheffield Razor Co., England: etching: "The Celebrated Hollow Ground Razor" (this one may be cellulite).
Taylor, Sheffield "Hollow Ground Razor".
Blade etched "Our Masterpiece Specially Ground for Private Use". Maher & Crush, Toledo, Ohio.
and two hones (one swarty 2-line, one ?? brand).
All the blades looked to be in decent shape, and between the carbo-magnetic and the swaty it seemed like a good deal. I really liked the look of the Maher & Grosh too.
