that is a very nice looking razor, and I really think you will like it. Congrats.
FWIW we may be an opinionated group (check any of the conversation threads), but there isn't a member I can think of that wouldn't do anything to help if someone asked. I really do wish you the best of shaves with your boker, I love mine.
Cheers
Dave

Who knows how fast it's going to happen, but vintage razors are a finite item that will only get more rare as time goes on and......more expensive. IMO that's a given. I don't see how it could do anything other than progress to a point where prices for even average vintage razors increase over time to a point where those who look only for bargains (like me) decide they can't afford the hobby any longer and move on to something else or stick with what they have if they're shavers (like me). I know an antique dealer that frequently tells me that antiques in general are a good investment. I've always thought for the most part, that much of what is sold as "antique" is just crap that really won't appreciate much. Vintage razors OTOH....If they're average to above average to excellent? Buy razors not gold!

Thanked: 3795I'd just like to say thank you to Komjong for being such a good sport. I know some more sensitive souls would have taken insult to some of our comments here. None of them were vindictive, but they could have sent some lesser members to scurry away never to return.
I'm glad Komjong has had a sense of humor about it.
I'm glad to welcome him to SRP.
Finally, I'll be glad to have him buy any of the overpriced razors I put in the classifieds!

Thanked: 3Nice razor.
What's it worth?
Whatever someone is willing to pay for it.
It's like guns.
You can throw away any blue book of gun values.
If you go to a auction site with blue book in hand you will be out bid on EVERYTHING!

hey, you started the thread
uh... I'm sorry, I think I missed this rule, let me go re-read them.
All apologies.
Hey Kom, that shoulderless is sweet.
I love to see unusual grinds from common brands.
I also have at least one razor that I paid more than I should have, but I love it no less.
Probably more.Last edited by gratewhitehuntr; 06-14-2009 at 12:53 AM.
