    Default "Rare" Boker on eBay

What do you guys think about this H. Boker razor that was recently purchased on eBay? It looks like it may be very old albeit in good condition in my opinion. It has " The Oak" inscribed on the blade and "tree band" in silver inlays on both sides of the scales at the bottom. I'm thinking perhaps one of the first razors of this Brand because of the tree symbol design and "tree Brand" markings on the scales. I've never seen a H. Boker like this. Anyone know?

I dont think thats the original tree trademark, not sure though, wait until one of the Boker gurus appear.

So based on this list I should assume the razor was manufactured between 1869 and 1900 since it uses the "Tree Brand" trademark Logo. Holly cannoli! I think I got me a good razor!

Looks like you have gotten a really nice blade. Bokers shave great. And before Doc beats me to it. You should post this pic in the Boker Brotherhood club. It would be a really nice addition to the group.

    seriously ????

    that price is insane
$461 for some gold wash, minor pitting, and a questionable back scale????
(under the wedge pin, see the brown line?)

    ATTENTION NEWBS
YOU ARE SCREWING UP THE PRICES !!!
    STOP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

for that price you could very nearly get a custom razor
    Livi
    Chandler
    Roberts

why would you pay this for an old Boker?
sure they are nice, maybe even $200 nice sometimes

    BUT $461 ?????????

I'm gonna go sit in the corner and cry because apparently my razor buying days are over

Yes it's more than what I expected to spend and it wont hurt my bank account. But 2 guys get into a bid war over something they really like and somebody's got to walk away with the biggest "Tang" (if you will pardon my innuendo).Dude it's an 1869 BOKER and it's GORGEOUS!! Hence it will undoubtedly be my favorite razor.

Looking at the picture, it looks more like the 1924-1935 logo to me....
